December 1st, 2023, stands as a monumental date in my life. I was grateful and elated to have successfully completed the 10-year regimen. The significance of this moment cannot be overstated; it was a victory that reverberated with the echoes of countless battles fought and won.
I still find myself yearning for my mother's presence on days like these. Her unwavering support and guidance were integral to my journey toward healing. She ensured I attended every appointment, adhered to every treatment, and did not miss a single step. The ten-year milestone, if we reached it together, would have been a grand celebration, a testament to her unwavering love and determination. I celebrated her on that day!
While her physical presence may be absent, her spirit continues to be the North Star, guiding me through a sea of milestones yet to be conquered. The lessons she imparted, the strength she instilled, and the love she showered me with are the foundations upon which I build my life today.
In the past year, I've ventured into uncharted territories, accomplishing feats I once believed were beyond my reach. I self-published activity books, coloring books, and journals—a creative endeavor that, at one point, seemed like a distant dream. These creations not only reflect my journey but also signify the limitless possibilities that life after cancer offers.
As I look ahead, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for what the future holds. Each day is a new opportunity to embrace victories, both big and small, and to inspire others to do the same.
